It’s that time of year again, when Spring Cleaning and all that it entails comes to the fore, but before we bore you to much with our handy tips some interesting facts for you:

In many cultures around the world, the egg is a symbol of new life, fertility and rebirth. For thousands of years, Iranians and others have decorated eggs on Nowruz (header image), the Iranian New Year that falls on the spring equinox. Interesting no? For Christians, the Easter egg is symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ as we all know I’m sure (boring).

The story of the Easter Bunny is thought to have become common in the 19th century. Rabbits usually give birth to a big litter of babies (called kittens), so they became a symbol of new life. Legend has it that the Easter bunny lays, decorates and hides Easter eggs as they are also a symbol of new life.

Easter is also a time for seeing family, taking a short break, maybe the first BBQ or grass cut? even the odd egg if your lucky. Its that time of year where all the windows can be opened and the house can breath. The first sunny days start showing as the daffodils come to their peak and we hope the sun starts to take the batten in the race for the summer.
